Meet Tosin

Miss. Tosin is a 37 Married woman living and working in Lagos. She is a mother and has a Secondary School leaving certificate. She is a hairdresser by profession, currently an employer and also an entrepreneur.

Tosin’s dream is to open her own ultra-modern salon to bring to bare her over 14 years’ experience but is however constrained due to her financial capacity.

Tosin has a side hustle where she does home service for customers and also sells attachments to them. Tosin has no available space to create a sales stop but makes do with providing the attachment to her customers.

After the 2nd training module, Tosin started off with N30,000 of her saved funds to start selling her Attachments and hair accessories from a make shift space while still keeping her day job. She has since recorded good sales and is willing to add more items to meet the demands of the customers. She has been fortunate enough to restock biweekly and is putting into practice all that she has learnt at the training, which include stocks, value and pricing, overheads and how it is appropriately accounted for, attracting customers, retaining and increasing profits and the imperative need to save towards building a working capital for business but also towards unforeseen circumstances.

Impact of Seed Grant

Miss Tosin has not used her Seed Grant but has rather saved it in her bank account.
